Q: Recently a friend offered to sell his 1987 CAS 3040 tuner to me and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how it would stack up when compared with a tuner in the $250-300 range?
A: it was considered to be only bettered by the naim nat 01 in the mid 80s - i had one too and it was very good sounding.
A: I use my 3040 often. My Magnum Dynalab sits in the closet.
