Stock low voltage Toshiba 2SA1095+2SC2565 pairs were upgraded to 230V rated Toshiba 2SA1943+2SC5200 matched power transistors, with pre-driver transistors also upgraded, for significantly better performance.
Power supply capacitors all upgraded with higher voltage rated Nichicon, except main filter caps, those last the longest, still test excellent.
In addition, maintenance service all done, cleaned/detailed, cold solder joints all re-flowed with fresh solder, new relay installed, all controls/pots deoxed/lubed, bias voltages adjusted for best sound/amp stability, amp heatsinks run warm at idle as they should, not hot, not cold.
This is one of Nikko classic amps, with great high speed clean power. Almost all integrated amps and receivers sound muddy and slow next to it. The best part, with all its power it manages to stay musical. Get a nice preamp and be in sonic heaven, these amps are the best bang for the buck there's.
The upgrades done bring Alpha's performance one step closer to perfection. The only reason for sale is that I already have higher end amps, JBL Pro, Marantz, etc.
