Wonderful sounding amplifier from my stereo collection
100% ORIGINAL, EXPERTLY SERVICED
WORKS AND SOUNDS AS GOOD AS NEW
Front panel and interior are mint; top and sides have a few marks, rear panel and bottom panel are both excellent.
AU-X501, AU-X701 and AU-X901, they all share same circuit design and have exact same sound, more sophisticated and musical when compared to earlier AU-5900, AU-717, AU-719, the only difference is in power output. They look plastic, but they aren't, as that glossy piano finish is lacquer over anodized aluminum, and knobs, front cover and rear panel are all metal. AU-X501 weighs hefty 11 Kg, uses exclusively premium parts from Sanken, Elna Audio, Bando, Alps and will put many newer multi-$$$$ audiophile amps to shame, in direct A/B testing. For the size, this is as good as it gets, if you require an amplifier that produces music, not sound. I would keep it for myself, but need to recover costs of buying Marantz 2330 and Sansui G-9000 for my collection. The buyer will be very happy with this beautiful machine.
