Extremely rare matched set of classic Altec Lansing tweeters with wires in working condition, pulled out of working pair of Altec Seville 847A.
Considered some of the finest tweeters ever made.
They have same build quality as the best Tannoy dual concentric and JBL Pro drivers.
Original unmolested condition, as pictured.
Fully tested and work perfectly.
DCR = 11.4 and 11.5 Ohms, matched within 0.1 Ohm.
Last sale of matching 3000G tweeters in non-working condition was for $200, last sale of matching set of 3000G in working condition was for $580, couple of years ago.
Price for these tweeters: $475/pair, or $350 for each tweeter.
It's best to replace both at the same time, as they must be matched.
They are very, very hard to find as matched pairs, and are treasured by both the owners of vintage Altec speakers (Seville, Bolero, Coronado, La Paz, Monaco, etc) and DIY crowd. They may be interchangeable with 3000 3000H 3000E 3000A 3000B tweeters, please make sure they are right for your application.
These tweeters sound beyond amazing.
The supply is ever dwindling, so get this pair while you still can. They can be fixed if blown, but that's a micro-surgery job, and very few people in the world can handle that kind of repair, that's why the original condition is treasured so much.
