And this not some cheap Pro-ject or USB turntable, this is major classic from Pioneer with audiophile sound quality, that would cost over $800 before tax if made and marketed today.
The cartridge and needle are also great classic Shure Encore Me75ED and matched genuine Shure ED-T2 stylus with needle in very good shape.
It is very rare to find a vintage turntable with preamp feature;
Out of couple hundred or so vintage record players that I've auditioned in my life only 2 had Phono preamplification.
Moreover, preamp is audiophile grade and is matched to turntable itself and to cartridge. All this means you can run PL-12D-II through your new generation Rotel or NAD or Bryston or whatever and have fun actually enjoying music, without having to worry about matching things.
They sure built things differently in the 70's; quality shines through.
